How Can I Help?
Operation Ornaments relies entirely on volunteer work and donations from people like you. There are many ways that you can participate!
Make and Donate Ornaments
The primary type of donation we receive is, of course, the ornaments themselves. We couldn’t do what we do without them! If you are interested in making ornaments to donate, please see our Instructions page for details.
Donate Money or Supplies
Operation Ornaments is a non-profit that relies completely on generous individuals to cover the costs and materials associated with distribution and running the organization. If you would like to help with a monetary donation, please use our Venmo or GiveButter. If you would like to donate supplies, please go to our Amazon Wishlist.
If you would prefer to mail us a donation, please contact us at info@operationornaments.org for the address.
Fundraising
Fundraising can be simple and fun! Take a look at the downloadable PDFs below for ideas, a handout the tells people about Operation Ornaments, and some rules.
Referrals
For every community that we serve, we need local volunteers to help receive, store, and sort the ornaments, as well as coordinate with local organizations to distribute them to the survivors. If you live near an area affected by disaster and are interested in and capable of becoming one of these coordinators, know someone who would be interested, or know of a location to serve, use the following form to refer them to us.
Volunteer
Every nonprofit thrives because of people who are willing to step up and give their time and talents to make a difference. Today, we invite you to be one of those people.
There are many ways to be further involved in Operation Ornaments. There is a place for you to make a meaningful contribution. The strength of our organization lies not only in our mission, but in the people who are willing to stand behind it. If you are ready to lend your time, share your talents or explore ways to serve, we would love to hear from you. Please fill out this form for the position you would like to apply for, and keep in mind that we are 100% volunteer. There are no paid positions.

Tell People About Us
Lastly, the primary means through which people hear about us is word-of-mouth. By letting other people know about our organization, you will do a lot to help us gather volunteers each year so that we can continue to do what we do. You could share one of the news stories from our About Us page!
