Yes! We are a 501(c)3 non-profit. If you would like to make your donation tax deductible, please send an email to EMAIL HERE with the subject ‘Donor Tax Information’. We will send you the necessary information.

Any bags that are see-through and fit your ornament are acceptable, for example sandwich baggies, organza bags, cellophane gift bags, etc. See our Instructions page for more details.

The note included with each ornament bag can be as meaningful as the ornament itself. At the minimum, please include the city and state, as well as the name of your group if applicable. Using your first name or family name makes it a little more personal.

Also including a small message of cheer, hope, an inspirational thought or scripture is always well received and appreciated. See our Instructions page under Step Two: Bag and Tag for additional details.

We love having groups participate with us! Decide what kind of ornament you would like to make, buy supplies, and set a time for crafting. For further important information and tips, visit our Instructions page.

Currently, we have served Oregon, Kentucky, Florida, Colorado, Tennessee and Alabama.

It varies depending on the need and how many local connections we are able to make. In 2023 we served 2,500 families.

Each and every ornament counts and will bring joy to a family or individual. We’ll take 1 or 1,000!

Yes! Each year, unfortunately, will bring disaster somewhere in our country. We look for where we can reach out and send love to whomever needs it.

Everything you need to know is located on our Instructions page.

Each family or individual will receive a bag of 12 ornaments (sometimes more). The number may increase depending on the number of ornaments donated. We try to include ornaments from 12 different states and/or countries if possible.

November 2020 was our first year serving Talent and Lincoln City Oregon. See our About page for more details.

If you didn’t make the cutoff date to ship your ornaments, please do not send them to that address! We ask that you wait until we announce the donation address(es) for the next year and send them there instead. It costs our coordinators hundreds of dollars each year to ship late ornaments to the correct location.

You can find the current address(es) and deadlines on our Donation Information page.

Typically, October 31st is the last day we can accept ornaments for the year. This gives us enough time to sort the thousands of ornaments we receive into family packages and distribute them before the beginning of December.

Yes. This is important because recipients feel loved and remembered when they know someone was willing to spend time creating something special just for them.

Unfortunately, no. Many ornaments made of these materials arrive broken. Take a look at our Instructions page under the Pro Tips drop down for more information on materials we recommend.

We serve areas impacted by disaster where we can find someone willing to be a coordinator. This coordinator is in charge of receiving the ornaments and working with local agencies, churches, and organizations to identify survivors and plan a distribution event for them.

We wait until the year following a disaster to serve an area. If we tried to distribute donations earlier than this, the survivors may not be ready to receive our ornaments.

Coordinators are the people who receive and store ornament donations. They are also responsible for cataloging each shipment, posting about them on the Facebook page, organizing the ornaments by state and/or country for sorting and distribution, and packaging the individual ornaments into family packages (or organizing an event where others help them do this). They also work with government and civic organizations to find where survivors are located and determine ways to distribute the ornaments to them. They may also work with local news agencies to promote awareness.

Sign up with our email list or join our Facebook group. We will also post updated information on this website.

Please only send ornaments. We cannot distribute items of any other kind.
